History / Social Studies

The Loyalton High School History and Social Studies Department helps students understand the people, events, ideas, and cultures that have shaped our world. Through discussion, research, analysis, and the study of primary and secondary sources, students develop critical-thinking skills and a deeper understanding of history, government, economics, and their role as informed citizens.

Our courses support students in meeting UC/CSU A-G history/social science requirements while preparing them for college, careers, and informed participation in their communities.
